OSR Driver (On-Site Refueling Driver)
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused OSR Driver to join our team in Halifax. The OSR Driver is responsible for the on-site delivery and refueling of diesel and gasoline to customer equipment, vehicles, and storage tanks. This role requires strong attention to safety, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: CA$25.00 – CA$30.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a fuel delivery truck to transport diesel and gasoline to customer locations
- Perform on-site refueling of vehicles, heavy equipment, and storage tanks
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies related to fuel handling
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients on-site
- Monitor fuel inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs
- Respond to emergency situations or fuel spills in accordance with company protocols
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driving record
- TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) certification (required)
- Experience handling or delivering fuel (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically capable of lifting hoses and operating equipment in various weather conditions
Working Conditions:
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required
- Travel within Halifax and surrounding areas
