We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Burner Service Technician to join our team. This role is suited to a seasoned professional with a strong technical background, proven leadership ability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service in both residential and commercial environments. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, professional judgment, and accountability. The successful candidate will be expected to operate independently, demonstrate leadership in the field, and consistently uphold company standards.
Pay: CA$27.00 – CA$35.00 per hour
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the service and installation of heating systems (oil and/or propane)
- Valid Burner Service Mechanic License (required)
- Successful completion of all required company and legislative training
- Extensive knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and develop junior technicians and apprentices
- Strong attention to detail in both technical work and administrative responsibilities
- Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced service, maintenance, and installation of heating equipment in accordance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable legislation and regulations
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to less experienced technicians and apprentices
- Maintain accurate and thorough service documentation and administrative records
- Uphold all Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) standards and compliance requirements
- Deliver professional and reliable customer service
Work Environment:
- Field-based role with travel to customer locations
- Hands-on, physically active work environment
- May require occasional on-call or extended hours
