We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Dry Waste Sorters. In this role, you will be responsible for sorting recyclable and non-recyclable dry materials in a safe and efficient manner. This position plays a key role in supporting environmental sustainability and waste reduction efforts.
Pay: CA$15.65 – CA$16.30 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort dry waste materials (e.g., paper, cardboard, plastics, metals) according to established guidelines
- Remove contaminants and non-recyclable items from sorting lines
- Ensure proper separation and placement of materials into designated bins or areas
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors
- Assist with general facility duties as required
Qualifications:
- No formal education required; training will be provided
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights (up to 20–25 kg / 45–55 lbs)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
