Roofer

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer to join our construction team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with the ability to work safely at heights and handle physically demanding tasks. Pay: CA$18.00 – CA$25.00 per hour

Duties:

• Install new roofing systems using various hand tools and construction techniques
• Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs to ensure safety and durability
• Measure and cut materials accurately based on blueprints and project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans
• Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weather resistance
• Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
• Use carpentry skills to frame or modify roof structures when necessary
• Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and adhering to safety standards
• Assist with other handyman tasks related to building maintenance or repairs

Experience:

• Prior experience in roofing, construction, or carpentry is preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring devices
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
• Background in handyman work or general construction enhances suitability for this role
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to working at heights and on construction sites
