DZ / AZ Recycling Truck Driver – Residential Collection
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Start Time: 6:00 AM (10–12 hour shifts until route completion)
Overtime: Paid after 44 hours per week
Pay: CA$29.86 per hour
Universal Staffing is seeking a reliable and safety-focused DZ or AZ Driver to operate a rear-load recycling truck on residential collection routes in Halton, Ontario.
This role requires a driver who is comfortable with both driving and physical loading duties, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and maintaining high safety and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a 2-person rear-load recycling collection truck.
- Collect residential recycling materials along assigned routes.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Work as part of a two-person team to complete routes efficiently.
- Perform repetitive lifting (40–60 lbs) throughout the shift.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Provide professional and courteous service to residents.
Requirements:
- Valid DZ or AZ driver’s license (new drivers welcome)
- Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract
- Clean Criminal Record Check (required for interview)
- Good physical condition and ability to perform repetitive lifting (average 800 houses)
- Ability to work 10–12 hour shifts and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must provide CSA-approved safety boots
