We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lift Equipment Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at various client locations such as forklifts, boom lifts etc. . The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Your work will directly impact our clients’ operations, making your role crucial to our success.
Pay:$26.00 – CA$28.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing service equipment.
- Maintaining mechanical and physical condition of service equipment.
- Performing scheduled maintenance work.
- Managing van parts inventory.
- Maintaining customer’s equipment in a cost-effective manner.
- Responding to customer requests for service as assigned by the Service Dispatcher.
- Arriving at the customer’s site in an effort to determine the nature of the problem requiring repair.
- Determining if the parts required for the repair are on hand.
- Completing service reports and job timecards.
- Reviewing service reports with the customer and obtaining their authorization with regards to the competition of work.
- Checking with the Service Dispatcher before leaving the customer’s site to determine next customer scheduling.
- Working and adhering to the Company’s occupational health and safety guidelines.
- Completing paperwork that forms the basis for the Company’s service revenue billing system on a timely basis.
- Attending training as directed by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor and Service Dispatcher.
Skill Requirements:
- Strong technical aptitude with experience in mechanical or electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and software relevant to equipment maintenance.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to travel frequently for on-site service calls as needed.
- A valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites.
