Universal Staffing is seeking reliable and physically fit Waste Collectors/Loaders to support residential waste collection services. This is a hands-on, outdoor role essential to maintaining the health and well-being of the communities we serve.
Job Title: Waste Collector / Loader / General Labourer

Schedule: Day shifts
Wage: $21.75 per hour
Work Environment: Outdoor work
Key Responsibilities:
Perform residential waste collection, including:
- Garbage
- Yard waste
- Blue Box recycling
- Green Bin organics
- Lift and load garbage bags and containers weighing up to 50 lbs into collection vehicles
- Complete over 800 to 900 residential stops per day efficiently and safely
- Return all waste receptacles to the resident’s property, placed upside down at the curb in the same location they were collected from
- Transport collected waste to local transfer stations, compost facilities, or landfill sites
- Interact respectfully and professionally with residents, coworkers, management, and the public
- Deliver consistent, high-quality customer service
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting and manual labor
- Steel toe boots are mandatory
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Polite, respectful, and customer-focused
- Team-oriented with safe work habits
- Clean Background Check or Criminal Record Check (required for interview)
